This Word Was Given To Me At 2 Am, I Could Not Sleep, I Was Burdened, The Lord Spoke, No Fear, Faith Into My Heart, A Message To Me And The Holy Remnant.
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Pro 3:25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Pro 3:26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Be not — or, “You shall not be.”
sudden fear — what causes it (Pro_1:27), any unlooked-for evil (Psa_46:3; Psa_91:12; 1Pe_3:14).
desolation — (Pro_1:27).
Be not - Thou shalt not be afraid. Sudden - For sudden and unexpected evils are most frightful. And fear is here put for the evils feared. Desolation - Which cometh upon the wicked.
Pro_3:25, denies, like Psa_121:3, with emphasis: be afraid only not = thou hast altogether nothing to fear.
פַּחַד here means terror, as Pro_1:26., the terrific object;
The genitive רְשָׁעִים may be, after Psa_37:18, the genit. subjecti, but still it lies nearer to say that he who chooses the wisdom of God as his guiding star has no ground to fear punishment as transgressors have reason to fear it; the שֹׁאָה is meant which wisdom threatens against transgressors, Pro_1:27. He needs have no fear of it, for wisdom is a gift of God, and binds him who receives it to the giver: Jahve becomes and is henceforth his confidence.
Be not afraid of sudden fear,.... Of anything terrible that comes unawares, unthought of, by any of the above things mentioned in the preceding note; or by any rumours and reports of danger being near at hand; always think thyself safe in the arms of Wisdom, and under the care of Israel's keeper, who neither slumbers nor sleeps;
neither of the desolation of the wicked when it cometh; either of the desolation which wicked men threaten to bring, and are suffered to bring, upon the godly for the sake of religion; either on their persons or goods, since suffering at their hands in such a cause is to the honour of saints, and for the glory of God; or of the desolation which comes upon the godly, for God is able to deliver him from it, as Noah and his family from the universal deluge, and Lot and his family from Sodom and Gomorrah; or if they promiscuously fall in it, nevertheless it will be well with them to all eternity.
(l) Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
(l) For when God destroys the wicked he will save his as he did Lot in Sodom.
Under the form of this strong prohibition there is an equally strong promise. So safe will all thy ways be that to fear will be a sin.
Note: According to what Barnes said I needed to repent, not to have faith in the lords promises and His word is sin indeed, I stand guilty, but now renewed.
In their greatest straits and dangers. Integrity and uprightness will preserve us, so that we need not be afraid of sudden fear, Pro_3:25. The harms that surprise us, unthought of, giving us no time to arm ourselves by consideration, are most likely to put us into confusion.
But let not the wise and good man forget himself, and then he will not give way to any fear that has torment, be the alarm ever so sudden. Let him not fear the desolation of the wicked, when it comes, that is,
[1.] The desolation which the wicked ones make of religion and the religious; though it comes, and seems to be just at the door, yet be not afraid of it; for, though God may make use of the wicked as instruments of his people's correction, yet he will never suffer them to be the authors of their desolation. Or rather,
Note: I have said this many, many times, the very evil the lord uses, as his rod of correction will later be the ones destroyed. They are not going to be the desolation of the remnant ones.
[2.] The desolation which wicked men will be brought into in a moment. It will come, and timorous saints may be apprehensive that they shall be involved in it; but let this be their comfort, that though judgments lay waste generally, at least promiscuously, yet God knows who are his and how to separate between the precious and the vile. Therefore be not afraid of that which appears most formidable, for (Pro_3:26) “the Lord shall be not only thy protector to keep thee safe, but thy confidence to keep thee secure, so that thy foot shall not be taken by thy enemies nor ensnared by thy own fears.” God has engaged to keep the feet of his saints.
This is a response to the last post; a strong word of correction and the last nail on the coffin, this word is strictly for the remnant. No one else, but the truly born again bible believer. The lord always speaks to me and my readers in this manner, hence the ministry name Truth and Mercy, this is the other side of the coin, Mercy to balance the truth of the last message. The lord corrects than comforts. He convicts than gives grace, unmerited favor. The Spirit of Truth our teacher, is also our comforter, but only to the true Christian, those that are truly His. For there is no peace unto the wicked, or safety from the coming storm.
I will repeat what I have said before; I repeat things often, on and for a purpose to remind you, even if you already know. To remind you, when Jesus spoke to the seven churches in Asia Minor in Revelations Ch 2-3, Jesus had encouragements and rebuke, we need to keep everything in balance, rebuke, correction, and what God thinks and promises in His word for us.
I was doing a detailed study the other day on Gen, the whole four chapters that deal with Abraham and lot, Sodom and Gomorrah. I was seeing how the lord took the righteous seed of Abraham, his nephew lot, out of Sodom, by the angels. One the angel of the lord, the pre incarnated Christ as most commentaries agree. I was studying the text at top at random, as Prov. Ch 3 came up as I started E-Sword, and it gave me comfort as well. In the commentary notes most refer to Lot and Sodom, the specific study I was doing. This was and is a personal confirmation to me.
There is one fear not in the bible for every day and one for leap year as most know, this means no matter what, every single day we can lay claim on this , Fear Not. No matter what we hear on websites, news, anything, we are not to let it put us in fear.
The remnant ones know what’s coming, and due to this, as humans we must remind ourselves every day, no matter what happens, all the rumors of war, economic doom, and the like, while much is true, a lot is only things to put us in a state of fear.
I was very burdened this late PM, I could not sleep it is 2:am as I write this and I just felt burdened, over what I know is coming, and I guess I admit a little afraid myself, I was thinking ,Lord my heart is so heavy, the burden of the words you give me, a burden is not easy to bear, but we must, without fear.
What the lord is clearly telling me right now, and maybe you reader can relate to is this, Yes these things are coming, yes many things are happening, but These things are not directed to the bride, the Lords remnant ones, somehow, someway we will be seen through all this.
Some by death, a promotion, but many will be like lot, like Noah, and others. Many will be spared, feed, protected and so the bride should not be in fear of what is coming, as we know the end of the story we win. This does not mean we will not suffer, nor have three meals a day or even air conditioners, or a swamp cooler, hay, I live in the desert we have been in triple digits a few days, and thank the lord for the swamp cooler amen.
The lord said to my heart, ‘I will be your shade, your water from a rock, your streams in the desert. The cloud by day, so just as in the Exodus I will over shadow you so you are not killed by the heat.
It’s all about no fear, strong confidence and 100% belief that the lord will take care of us. Much will change, our life styles are about to change, everything is about to change, but our lord never changes. He knows how to save his Lot's and Noah’s, he knows what he is doing.
Sometimes just knowing and seeing what is going on is enough to bring human fear, and despair, who wants to suffer Yay!, suffering. No, none of us do, to want that is insane.
I simply give you what the lord gave me this early AM, and as the lord spoke to my heart, maybe some readers will be spoken to in the same manner, I pray and hope so. I really needed this word and I am sure many readers will relate and be comforted.
