Get Busy Living, Or Get Busy Dying

Ecc 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Ecc 12:2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

We are going to look at the whole chapter of ECC 12. The first two verses, is in its meaning, enjoy life while it is still good.

This says get busy living

I say everyday when I awake and see the sun, this is the day the LORD has made I WILL REJOICE and be GLAD IN IT.

I look at the sun and just thank the lord for another day. It is true we have many things going on, many events coming, Judgments are on the West and the earth, and we are in the throws of the birth pains.

Jesus told us what are response was to be in the days we are living in right now.

Mat 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

According to the very words Jesus said, concerning the very days we live in, we find what our Christian response is to be.

..... see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass.

In ECC  vrs 1 it says. while the evil days come not. Jesus said concerning these times vs 6, but the end is not yet.

Ecc 12:2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

I think on this as I said, every day I wake up and see the sun, at night when I go out and look at the stars and moon in the quiet desert.

The first two verses Solomon is setting up what follows. The first part is while you are alive, while the sun is shinning, though there are daily wars and rumors of war, bad economic forecast, droughts and a coming famine, today, this day, the economy has not collapsed and the famine has not yet come.

Our response, we thank the lord for the day he has given us, and we are to be glad and rejoice in it. We go about are daily tasks, we spend time with loved ones, many still have jobs, houses money, to  the remnant Christians that still have a job, a place, a car, nice food to eat, a good life full of praise this is reason to take a deep breath, take a pause from all the coming doom and until it hits, simply get busy living.

Why live as you were already dying. I know many people who are so full of fear and are freaked out concerning the events coming, they have no peace, no gratitude, they are scared to death, but wait, today the sun is still shinning, today we still have something to eat, a roof over our head and loved ones.

So why live as a walking dead person, fear kills faith, unbelief quenches the spirit, we must have a smile, we are Jesus ambassadors to this wicked generation. Get busy living or get bust dying.

The rest of the chapter Solomon is driving home his point by speaking of the days that are coming, but are not here yet.

Ecc 12:3  In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

Ecc 12:4  And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;

Ecc 12:5  Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

Ecc 12:6  Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

Ecc 12:7  Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Ecc 12:8  Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

Ecc 12:9  And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

Ecc 12:10  The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

Ecc 12:11  The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

Ecc 12:12  And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Ecc 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecc 12:14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

This is what is coming, it has started, but it is not here yet, so in contrast this Chapter is saying, get busy living, or get busy dying.

Yes very, very soon its going to hit the fan, but we who are truly His, need to fear nothing, the bible has one fear not for everyday in the year, plus one for leap year, so one saying the lord wants to get into his peoples hearts on a daily bases is FEAR NOT.

Many need to fast from all the fear, take a vacation from your fears and problems, this is done in full hearted prayer, worship and the word, his peace that surpasses all understanding comes over you after prayer.

I preach, write, and teach on the coming judgments, the economic fall, the fall of America and the West, I write a lot on this, but I keep it in balance, that is why the ministry is called truth and mercy.

My readers can read many, many encouraging words to the true holy remnant bride, these words are for your eyes and ears only, we have hope no matter what comes, we have a rock, we are covered, and our lord said in these birth pains see that you worry not, or are in trouble, or fear. So why are you?
It is because you are not busy living, your busy dying.

My advice from this message from Ecc 12, is dear saint of the lord, when you open your eyes say this is the day the lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it, today beloved, make a choice will you get busy living, or will you get busy dying? The choice is yours.

By the way, this title was my favorite line in a movie I saw many years ago, The Shaw shank Redemption, adapted from a short story by Stephen King, so if the master of horror, can give such a profound line, how much more our lord and his word?
