The Book Of Jeremiah. A True Word From The Throne-Read At The End Comfort For The Lords People

In this message, again a hard word to the ones that are guilty of sin, apostate doctrine, and a word to the ones that have the knowing of whats coming and what is now going on. Many scattered remnant ones world wide know this and tremble in sorrow for what is coming, and the current state of the apostate Church.

Jer 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

Jer 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

Jer 23:3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Jer 23:4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

Woe, means Judgment in Hebrew in this case and in the N.T. This Judgment is directed at the Pastors, the false apostate shepherds that are leading their sheep in deception, scattering them, not preaching truth. The lords Judgment is on these Pastors, Leaders, all. This is the word of the Lord today, a dual prophecy. Jesus said in the last days there would be such false doctrines, false ministers, the devil comes as an angel of light, false prophets, false Christs, we were warned, and we have seen it in Church history, and now, it is worse than any other time in recorded history, esp. American History. This is the reason for the Judgment, as said, not so much the government, but the back slidden Christians , and apostate doctrines and false prophets.

The lord promises to keep a remnant and to provide for them true shepherds after his heart. PTL, that is a hope to all in these last days. The holy remnant, will have holy men of God to help them and they will not be in fear, no confusion and will be provided for , amen. The lord is raising up such ministers now, they are unknown, no one knows them, they are not on T.V. they are being prepared in secret, they are being purged, and taught, being made ready.

The next part I want to touch on in this Chapter is for the remnant ones that are shaken to the core due to what is happening and what is coming, Jer. experienced this, and some reading this are as well, as we read; righteous lot was vexed in his spirit concerning the sin of Sodom. Not a holier than thou, self righteousness, but a humble , holy , contrite, broken servant, hurting inside , it is what the lord is feeling, and thus those that are truly his will experience this now, and in the days coming.

It is not easy on anyone who knows what is coming, and the truth of the coming Judgment and fall of the West, as the prophetic Kings of the East rise to power. It puts many in anguish, but in all this we have peace, we anguish and we know, at times we are overcome as you are about to read, but peace will follow, as we serve a God of Peace.

Jer 23:9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

Jeremiah 23:9
Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets,.... The false prophets, as the Targum rightly interprets it. The Vulgate Latin version renders it, "to the prophets"; and makes a stop there; which agrees with the original (l); so that it may be considered as the title of what follows; it being directed to them by the prophet, to let them know his concern for them; to expose their sin, and reclaim them; who was so affected with their case, that his "heart" within him was "broken" with grief and sorrow, because of their false doctrines and wicked lives; and because of the mischief they did the people, and the ruin they brought upon them, and themselves also:

all my bones shake; with dread and horror at the iniquities committed and the judgments approaching. The word, as Jarchi says, signifies such a fluttering motion as is made by the wings of a bird hovering over its nest. The same word is used in Gen_1:2; which Ben Melech refers to here. The prophet shuddered at their dreadful impiety, and at the thoughts of what was coming upon them on that account:

I am like a drunken man; that can neither speak nor stand; that knows not what to say, or which way to go; so confused and astonished was the prophet at what he saw was doing by them, and was likely to befall them:

and like a man whom wine hath overcome; or, "has passed over" (m); like waves and billows, so that he is drowned in it, and mastered by it:

because of the Lord, and because of the words of his holiness: because of the dishonor done to his holy name, and holy truths; because of the profanation of both in the mouths of these false prophets; they pretending to come in the name of the Lord, and to speak his words; and because of the dreadful judgments which he, the prophet, was sent to denounce against them from the Lord.

Dear reader, I know in my spirit, many reading this are deeply concerned about the state of the union, and rightly so, I know also many are in fear, and perplexed, stumbling around, not knowing what to do, inner pain, and groaning over what is happening. I want to encourage you, the lord has you covered, he has everything under control, and we are not called unto wrath. The lord will be our hiding place, our fortress and our provider, many will die, many will not, this is one reason people worry, beloved do not worry it is a win-win situation, the days will be very trying and hard, but supernatural strength will be given, the lord will clearly be seen moving in miracles and miracle protection and provision, I know this with no doubt, we shall not be ashamed, or pale faced, never, we have the victory and the battles already won.

I must preach and teach the whole counsel of the lord. I know many do not like such messages, I do, not like giving them, but of late the lord has been dealing with me and many confirmations again on the coming judgment, many messages have been posted of late that were to feed the remnant, the lord said, 'now is the time to again sound the trumpet, declare what I said to, and be obedient to your call as a watchmen', and so I must say, it will be hard, it will be UN-charted waters, we will face perils as Paul, we will face many things, some will be in the very place where major disasters hit, but listen, I can not teach any escapism theology, as the bible teaches other wise, and the Foxes Book Of Martyrs, Church history -history repeats, you will not be taken out of this, no rapture is coming, yet, it comes at the last trump, read JN Ch 6, see how many times he says. 'at the last trump', re read 2thess chapter 2, its all there.

Many false prophets, teachers are having visions and dreams of a great rapture event, they are posted all the time, and many dates were set, none have happened and none will, arm yourself with the truth, be spiritually prepared, for behold the Judgments come, repent and get right with the lord, for behold the Judgments come, they are nigh at the door.

If your like the verse, a trembling one who knows in your spirit, you bare witness to this message, to you I end this Jer Pt 4 with, what I always do. FEAR NOT ! the lord says to his true sheep, 'fear not, I am with you, I love you, I have you under my wings, be at peace, fear not, fear not the lord says to his true people, fear not, and be at rest'.

Post From My Herbal Blog Number One Antiviral Herb-Chinese Skcullcap

Scutellaria baicalensis Note-The information in this post is not to replace seeking medical help, nor diagnose your problem it is for educational only- Leagal disclaimer.
The part used in traditional Chinese medicine is the dried root, which has a bitter and cold energetic. Contains distinctive flavones, specifically baicalin and wogonin, which have antiallergic, diuretic, hypotensive, antibacterial, antiviral, tranquilizing and fever-reducing effects. In practical terms, it is one of the best agents for cooling an infection, and I recommend it especially for people who are traveling and may contract dysentery

It also is effective against, Avian Flu, and Swine flu. This herb, root, could save your life, also anti radiation.
It helps with many others viral infections OK not the zombie one, bit most of the rest, not Ebola. I have always said, God created certain herbs, plants, trees, fruit in certain areas for a reason; this is one of the best examples.
Where do we see normally avian and chicken, swine flu? Asia and the lord provided this herb.

Many Chinese herbs can be hard to grow in America, this must have herb is the easy one of them all, not hard to grow. Can withstand -20 degrees, it takes 2 years till you harvest the root, 3 is perfect, but 2 years and its good to go, with all the nasty bugs going around and flu season on us. I would get this now, seeds at Horizon herbs; make sure it’s the strain mention above. You can get the powered , or tincture, note: the powered if you get that and not the root, it should be bright yellow, any other color is a fake, or harvested to early, or been sitting around to long.

Garlic after much research -Garlic Vrs GSE, (Grape fruit seed extract) head to head garlic is the best all around antibiotic food, herb. The problem is, it must be taken fresh and lots and lots of it, if infected. Everyone should be on garlic tabs as prevention, but GSE, I have tried it on everything you can name, and it always takes the bug, infection away with 3-4 days use. It is a product you do not take daily, if you did as the stupid vendor bottles say, take as a daily supplement you will be come ill and can die, it kills ALL bacteria, never use more the 7 days, I have never had to use it more than 5 . You do not want to kill the good bacteria, if you take more than 7 days, take yogurt and cheese, or you will get very sick.

The Chinese Skcullcap is truly hands down the best antiviral hand down, it also has sedating qualities far better than American skcullcap ( laterfolia). Much stronger sedative, take it with small does of lobelia and wow. Great for anxiety, GAD, panic attacks.

I would get seeds now, something this good, you know soon the FDA will make it illegal, I would not wait.

Good bye swine flu, good bye avian flu, good-bye flu, no need for flu shot with this amazing herb.
FYI: Did you know the CDC came out just recent and so did the main stream news and admitted this year’s flu shot is not effective against this year’s flu? Why take the un- needed Mercury with a shot that does not work, if you pay for this year’s flu shot, you’re given a paper it states, this will not work and you need another shot? of what? More money.
Flu shots, Asian root says no mercury please, and it will work, and as said, maybe save a life.

Anxiety suffers you want to look into this, it is the second strongest herb sedative in the strain, only Nana is stronger, brown dwarf skullcap, and you will not fine seeds anywhere I have looked a long time. On e-bay one person in Canada has it as a drug user 15 times it is not good. This is a great, great anti anxiety herb, brown dwarf skullcap grows in America, find out what it looks like it just may be near you.

The key to ant anxiety herbs is the use of lobelia, you can also take a 1/4 tsp of lobelia herb, make a tea and that alone is a whole body muscle relaxant and nervine, mix this with almost any anxiety herb and it will increase the effect many times over. Make sure its real, good quality Lobelia, or grow your own, not hard in USA.

This Message Was Part Of The Free College Board Newsletter, I Feel All Should Read It, Christ Our Refuge

Christ Our Refuge

Jos 20:1  The LORD also spake unto Joshua, saying,

Jos 20:2  Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you
cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses:

Jos 20:3  That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.

Jos 20:4  And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.

Jos 20:5  And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; because he smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not beforetime.

Jos 20:6  And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.

Jos 20:7  And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah.

Jos 20:8  And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh.

Jos 20:9  These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.

Joshua 20:7-9 ( JFB )

Jos_20:7-9. The Israelites appoint by name the cities of refuge.

They appointed ... cities — there were six; three on the west, and three on the east, of Jordan. In the first instance, they were a provision of the criminal law of the Hebrews, necessary in the circumstances of that people (see on Num_35:11; see on Deu_19:2). At the same time they were designed also typically to point out the sinner’s way to Christ

Heb 6:18  That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Webster defines the word Refuge as:

REF'UGE, n. [L. refugium, refugio; re and fugio, to flee.]

1. Shelter or protection from danger or distress.

- Rocks, dens and caves, but I in none of these find place or refuge.

We have made lies our refuge. Isa 28.

- We might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us. Heb 6.

2. That which shelters or protects from danger, distress or calamity; a strong hold which protects by its strength, or a sanctuary which secures safety by its sacredness; any place inaccessible to an enemy.

The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats. Psa 104.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed. Psa 9.

3. An expedient to secure protection or defense.

This last old man - their latest refuge was to send to him.

4. Expedient, in general.

Light must be supplied, among graceful refuges, by terracing any story in danger of darkness.

Cities of refuge, among the Israelites, certain cities appointed to secure the safety of such persons as might commit homicide without design. Of these there were three on each side of Jordan. Josh 20.

REF'UGE, v.t. To shelter; to protect.

The Desert Mission is such a place, a Christian Refuge, the lord has told me this, he has shown it openly and fully. We have a refuge in our lord no matter where we are.

In that place, His presence where ever we are, he is, and we are safe in him. It could be your last day on earth soon? If the lord keeps you in the coming and present storm it is for a reason, to be a witness.

I was reading an Email from Chris W. Julius, in Uganda, wow. Heavy stuff. Demon manifestations, people calling on the dead and being filled by these spirits, persecution chaos, and more. It is happening everywhere you are.

The world is being shaken to the core, we are racing towards Judgment, but, we have a refuge from the storm, a safe place, a secret place, and thus we do not worry or fear. I learned a while back as the lord spoke to me, the message was simple, ‘I am your tower, your refuge, you’re hiding place, and it is in my presence more than a place’.
This is also profound Why? I ask you, have you been going to that secret place? The place of no worry, faith, no fear. The secret prayer closet is our most beloved place, it is our sanctuary, Christ’s presence, have you been in his presence? Has an Idol taken its place, an Idol can me ministry, did you know that. Your self preservation where the flesh excuses you from the table in the wilderness, from supper with the lord early, because you have things to do.

I ask you have you been dinning with the King, or the world and the flesh. Are you so filled with distractions they are slowly draining you and the anointing in your life. Are you going along doing want flesh can do, or are you doing what only the Power of God can do in you.

It is very easy to let distractions, side- traction's take you away from what is holy and it is a broken cistern that can hold no water at all.
I get many emails, students and Christians I know, most right now in this critical hour are so distracted by things they are losing it.

Many speak of on going demonic attacks, as I read the whole emails and others it is clear it is not always Satan, it is self. Self is harder to overcome than a hundred demons. Many are in prisons of their own making, but Jesus stands and knocks, he has a key, he has a way, and all can change right now.
We have free, full access to the holy place that is now over run with thorns. The sanctuary is our hearty, how is your heart today? Where is your heart, where ever your heart is, there is where your treasures, concerns are. What do you value more than anything? Your name, your ministry, your life, or is it 100% Jesus and Him alone.

Take the key that sets you free, from all fear, worry, regret and walk, arise and walk, I say arise and walk. Get up take your stand some are late for duty, some are not around anymore and have taken off their armor.

Beloved, it is far too late to walk away from the secret place, the refuge now. Hang on; endure suffering as a good solider of Christ. We are in war.

We have a refuge, no matter what comes your way always say this, “God’s got everything under control”
He, our refuge, our hiding place, our secret place, he is available day and night, run to that refuge today and be at rest.

The Shemitah: The Biblical Pattern Which Indicates That A Financial Collapse May Be Coming In 2015

Does a mystery that is 3,500 years old hold the key to what is going to happen to global financial markets in 2015?  Could it be possible that the timing of major financial crashes is not just a matter of coincidence?  In previous articles on my website, I have discussed some of the major economic and financial cycle theories and their proponents.  For example, in an article entitled “If Economic Cycle Theorists Are Correct, 2015 To 2020 Will Be Pure Hell For The United States“, I examined a number of economic cycle theories that seem to indicate that the second half of this decade is going to be a nightmare economically.  But the cycle that I am going to discuss in this article is a lot more controversial than any of those.  In his most recent book, Jonathan Cahn has demonstrated that almost all of the major financial crashes in U.S. history are very closely tied to a seven year pattern that we find in the Bible known as “the Shemitah”.  Since that book was released, I have been asked about this repeatedly during radio appearances.  So in this article I am going to attempt to explain what the Shemitah is, and what this Biblical pattern seems to indicate may happen in 2015.  If you are an atheist, an agnostic, or are generally skeptical by nature, this article might prove quite challenging for you.  I would ask that you withhold judgment until you have examined the evidence.  When I first heard about these things, I had to go verify the facts for myself, because they are truly extraordinary.

So precisely what is “the Shemitah”?

In the Bible, the people of Israel were commanded to let the land lie fallow every seven years.  There would be no sowing and no reaping, and this is something that God took very seriously.  In fact, the failure to observe these Sabbath years was one of the main reasons cited in the Scriptures for why the Jewish people were exiled to Babylon in 586 BC.

But there was more to the Shemitah year than just letting the land lie fallow.

On the last day of the Shemitah year, the people of Israel were instructed to perform a releasing of debts.  We find the following in Deuteronomy chapter 15…

At the end of every seven years you shall grant a relinquishing of debts. This is the manner of the relinquishing: Every creditor that has loaned anything to his neighbor shall relinquish it. He shall not exact it of his neighbor, or of his brother, because it is called the Lord’s relinquishment.

This happened at the end of every seven years on Elul 29 – the day right before Rosh Hashanah on the Biblical calendar.

So what does this have to do with us today?

Well, if you go back to the last day of the Shemitah year in 2001, you will find that there was an absolutely horrifying stock market crash.

On September 17th, 2001 (which was Elul 29 on the Jewish calendar), we witnessed the greatest one day stock market crash in U.S. history up to that time.  The Dow fell an astounding 684 points, and it was a record that held for precisely seven years until the end of the next Shemitah year.

At the end of the next Shemitah year in 2008, another horrifying stock market crash took place.  On September 29th, 2008 the Dow plummeted 777 points, which still today remains the greatest one day stock market crash of all time.  It turns out that September 29th, 2008 corresponded with Elul 29 on the Jewish calendar – the precise day when the Bible calls for a releasing of debts.

So on the very last day of the last two Shemitah years, the stock market crashed so badly that it set a brand new all-time record.

And now we are in another Shemitah year.  It began last fall, and it will end next September.

Could it be possible that we will see another historic market crash?

Author Jonathan Cahn has correctly pointed out that we should never put God in a box.  Just because something has happened in the past does not mean that it will happen again.  But we should not rule anything out either.

Perhaps God is using His calendar to make a point.  Cahn believes that if we are going to see something happen, it will probably occur as the Shemitah year comes to an end…

Cahn has pointed that, according to his research, the worst of the worst usually happens at the end of the Shemitah year, not at the beginning. In fact, the last day of the year, Elul 29 on the Hebrew calendar, which will occur on Sept. 13, 2015, is the most dreaded day.

The pattern revealed in “The Mystery of the Shemitah” is that the beginning of the Shemitah’s impact is often subtle, but leads to a dramatic climax.

“The beginning may mark a change in direction, even a foreshadow of what will come to a crescendo at the Shemitah’s end,” he said.

And this time around, far more people are paying attention.  Back in 2001 and 2008, most Americans had absolutely no idea what a “Shemitah year” was.  But now it is being talked about on some of the most prominent alternative news websites on the Internet.  For example, the following is what Joseph Farah of WND has to say about the Shemitah year…

Farah believes the date Sept. 13, 2015 bears close watching – though he is quick to admit he has no idea what, if anything, will happen in America.

“A clear pattern has been established,” he says. “I don’t believe it’s a coincidence what happened in America on Elul 29 in 2001 and 2008. It would be foolish to ignore the possibility that a greater judgment might be in the works – especially if America continues to move away from God and His Word.”

The Shemitah year that we are in now does end on September 13th, 2015 – and that falls on a Sunday so the markets will be closed.

But what it comes to the Shemitah, we aren’t just looking at one particular day.

And it is very interesting to note that there will also be a solar eclipse on September 13th, 2015.  Over the past century, there have only been two other times when a solar eclipse has corresponded with the end of a Shemitah year.  Those two times were in 1931 and 1987, and as Jonathan Cahn has told WND, those solar eclipses foreshadowed major financial disasters…

In 1931, a solar eclipse took place on Sept. 12 – the end of a “Shemitah” year. Eight days later, England abandoned the gold standard, setting off market crashes and bank failures around the world. It also ushered in the greatest monthlong stock market percentage crash in Wall Street history.

In 1987, a solar eclipse took place Sept. 23 – again the end of a “Shemitah” year. Less than 30 days later came “Black Monday” the greatest percentage crash in Wall Street history.

Is Cahn predicting doom and gloom on Sept. 13, 2015? He’s careful to avoid a prediction, saying, “In the past, this ushered in the worst collapses in Wall Street history. What will it bring this time? Again, as before, the phenomenon does not have to manifest at the next convergence. But, at the same time, and again, it is wise to take note.”

So what is going to happen this time?

We will just have to wait and see.

But without a doubt so many of the same patterns that we witnessed just prior to the financial crash of 2008 are happening again right before our very eyes.

It has been said that those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Perhaps you believe that there is something to “the Shemitah”, or perhaps you think that it is all a bunch of nonsense.

But at least now you know what everyone is talking about.  What you choose to do with this information is up to you.

KNOCKING AT THE DOOR!-Myers Devotion Today Confrimation

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: Be zealous therefore and repent. Behold I stand at the door, and knock."-- Rev_3:19-20.

CHRIST KNOCKS at the door when His Judgments are in the earth. That God has arisen to shake mightily the earth is hardly doubtful. This is a day of the Lord of Hosts, when judgments are abroad upon all that is proud and haughty, upon the cedars and the oaks, upon the high mountains and the uplifted hills. But it is at such a time that He draws near to reassure us (Isa_2:11-21; Joe_3:16).

On the eve of the overthrow of the Cities of the Plain, He came to the door of Abraham's tent, partook of his fare, and gave promises of assurance to himself and Sarah which unfolded the Divine Purpose. Standing before the Lord, Abraham was prepared for the tragedy of the morrow, and was permitted an intimacy in which he seemed possessed by a passion for God's rectitude and righteous dealing.

Do not fear the things that are coming, but open to Him who knocks for admission. He has come to spend the dark hours in your fellowship, as a mother runs to her child's cot, when a sudden thunderstorm sweeps the sky.

Christ knocks when we are preparing for some great task. You are going forth on one of His errands, and expect misunderstanding or opposition, or you are uncertain as to your reception. Like Moses, you say: "Send by whom Thou wilt send, but let it not be by me." With Jeremiah, you plead: "I am a child, I cannot speak." Like the Apostles, you have to face a world in arms. At such a time, He waits at the door to encourage and inspire. On the night following the upheaval in the Sanhedrin, where Paul was nearly torn to pieces, the Lord stood by him, and said: "Be of good cheer!"
Christ knocks when bereavement enters our homes. We all know what it is to be full of longing "for the beloved ones, whom we cannot reach by deed or token, gesture or kind speech." The ship's masts have sunk below the rim of the horizon, in the sunset, and we turn back to homes out of which all light has gone. It is then that you may surely expect a gentle knock at the door, and He who came to Bethany when Lazarus died, that He might mingle His tears with those of the sisters, will certainly come to the door of your heart, and knock for admission that He may help to fill the gap.

Come nearer to us than the nearest. Enter our hearts, saying, Fear not, I am with thee, I will help thee. Give us all that we need to enable us to fight the good fight, add finish our course with joy. AMEN.

Be steadfast, unmovable – Word In Due Time-January 25, 2015

My children, you have to be steadfast, unmovable in your faith in Me. Your faith will be tested and you must endure and press on until the very end.

You are still in the race and have to finish, complete the race first to be able to receive the prize in the end. You must be steadfast, unmovable and continue to run the race set before you according to My rules with endurance until the very end. If you withdraw, stop before the time, it will be all in vain. Run, be determined to finish successfully.

Many are not steadfast, unmovable, but they waver. Their foundation is not solid, it is not built on Me. I am not their solid Rock.

If you know Me for real for who I am and for what I am able to do, you will be steadfast, unmovable in your faith and you will trust Me. I am always faithful and trustworthy. I work all things out for good according to My plan and purpose. Be steadfast, unmovable and follow Me, every step of the way, take one step at a time. I go ahead of you. I will not fail you. Trust Me.

The Idol Of Ministry, Serving, Helping, Vrs Service And Prayer

“Martha was cumbered about much serving.”

- Luk_10:40

Her fault was not that she served: the condition of a servant well becomes every Christian. “I serve,” should be the motto of all the princes of the royal family of heaven. Nor was it her fault that she had “much serving.” We cannot do too much.

Let us do all that we possibly can; let head, and heart, and hands, be engaged in the Master’s service. It was no fault of hers that she was busy preparing a feast for the Master. Happy Martha, to have an opportunity of entertaining so blessed a guest; and happy, too, to have the spirit to throw her whole soul so heartily into the engagement.

Her fault was that she grew “cumbered with much serving,” so that she forgot him, and only remembered the service. She allowed service to override communion, and so presented one duty stained with the blood of another.

We ought to be Martha and Mary in one: we should do much service, and have much communion at the same time. For this we need great grace. It is easier to serve than to commune. Joshua never grew weary in fighting with the Amalekites; but Moses, on the top of the mountain in prayer, needed two helpers to sustain his hands.

The more spiritual the exercise, the sooner we tire in it. The choicest fruits are the hardest to rear: the most heavenly graces are the most difficult to cultivate. Beloved, while we do not neglect external things, which are good enough in themselves, we ought also to see to it that we enjoy living, personal fellowship with Jesus.

See to it that sitting at the Saviour’s feet is not neglected, even though it be under the specious pretext of doing him service. The first thing for our soul’s health, the first thing for his glory, and the first thing for our own usefulness, is to keep ourselves in perpetual communion with the Lord Jesus, and to see that the vital spirituality of our religion is maintained over and above everything else in the world.

Heroes In The Bible What They Faced-We All Face-1 Kings Ch 17

1Ki 17:16  And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

1Ki 17:17  And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.

1Ki 17:18  And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

1Ki 17:19  And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.

1Ki 17:20  And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?

1Ki 17:21  And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.

1Ki 17:22  And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

1Ki 17:23  And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.

1Ki 17:24  And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

Barnes: Vrs 24

1 Kings 17:24
And the woman said to Elijah, now by this I know that thou art a man of God,.... She took him to be one at his first coming to her; she was in a great measure confirmed in it by the miracle of the barrel of meal and cruse of oil; but upon the death of her son, which she was ready to impute to the prophet, she was staggered at it; but now, by his resurrection from the dead, was fully assured of it:

and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth; she had known before that what he said concerning the meal and oil not failing was true; but now she was more and more convinced and assured that the God, whose prophet he was, was the true God, and that the religion he professed was the true religion, and he a true prophet, and that all his prophecies would be exactly fulfilled.

One can read this chapter and think, how could this women, after seeing such a mighty miracle say to the Prophet, "What have I to do with thee, O Man of God'

Those are some very harsh words. They said it to Moses, after the parting of the red sea, after all the signs in Egypt, after all the miracles, “Did you bring us out in this wilderness to die".

Jesus, he did many miracles, he feed 4,000 and 5,000 from a few fish and a couple loafs of bread, the same people, some of them that saw these things, followed Jesus, because their belly’s were full, yelled during his trial, "Crucify him".

In 2 Tim we read that at Paul’s first defense, no man stood with him. Where are the people, his beloved, where did they go, why were they not there?

These are only a couple examples for our text.

In a message I posted a while back called, “How soon we forget". It is like a part two; ‘I put you in remembrance, although you already know these things’, as Peters Epistle reads. I must put you reader in remembrance, how soon we forget.

The love, forgiveness, miracles, loving-kindness, grace, redemption, deliverance of our lord, just to one day many still say, ‘Hosanna and than crucify him’.
How can this be? Our bible teaches us, this has been going on forever. You reader, may stand alone, you may feel all have turned against you. Know this, our lord knows better than anyone, as Meyers devotion said today, I will paste it in and continue.

"In the place where He was crucified, there was a Garden." -- Joh_19:41.

IT WAS in a Garden that Paradise was lost, and in a Garden it was regained! The sweet flowers of spring waved their incense-cups around the Cross, on which their Creator, to whose thought they owed their beauty, was dying for man's redemption.

Amid all the anguish of this human world, nature pursues her unbroken routine. Spring with its green, summer with its glory, autumn with its gold--these in perennial beauty carry on their unbroken succession through all the days of human sorrow. Sometimes her unchanging order almost drives men to madness. It seems as though she has no sympathy with man in his stern battle for existence! Yet surely it is better so! Our tears and strife and storm are transient, whilst the order of creation will be the basis of that "new heaven and earth" for which we wait. Yes, there were flowers at the foot of the Saviour's Cross, and they have blossomed at the foot of every cross since His!

Where there is a Cross, there will be a garden. Of course, the cross must be properly borne. We must suffer for others, not careful about ourselves. We must take the cup from the hands of the Father, even though it is presented by the hands of a Judas! We must suffer silently. No man or woman, who really suffers deeply for another's salvation, talks about it, save to God.

Suffer for others in your Gethsemane-garden, and when you have been crucified after that fashion, then look for a garden in bloom. Set up a Calvary in your own heart! Let the cross there be a splint from the Cross of your Saviour! Bring thither your self-love, your ambitions, your moods and vagrant, selfish thoughts. Fasten your self-life, vain and proud as it is, to the Cross of Jesus, and let it remain there. Then in the garden of your character will arise a profusion of the rarest and sweetest flowers. If the world shuns your company, if you go lonely and unappreciated through life, yet you may find that the Lord Jesus will walk in the glades of your garden in the cool of the day, as He did in Paradise.

You may feel your in the Garden of Eden after the fall, Paul said, we are, our flesh, but the other Garden of Jesus, sets us free. We all have times of, ‘I can not take anymore, I am done, finished, spent, all I help have hurt me’, you have wounds, you were mistreated, what do you do, Forgive, as Meyers said,” Jesus knew Judas was to betray him, but he loved him, prayed for him. You may have a Judas in your life today; your flesh wants to take that person down. Listen, we all feel this way, let downs, people say I am with you brother, sister, but when the time comes you need a telescope to find them.

People are people, they are like you and me, at times all move in flesh, other times after being forgiven and renewed we say, “Thank-you lord for your touch, never again will I not love all as you did".

A few days later, you blow it. Thank-the lord for his forgiveness, he alone knows the heart, our weakness, our trouble, it matters not that man knows, Jesus knows. I ask you reader, do you need to love and enemy, have you been hurt and find it hard to love, forgive. The bible teaches, “If we do not forgive our brethren, the lord will not forgive us".

Those are serious words; we will not find forgiveness when we need it, if we do not forgive all.

Hardened Hearts-By Robert Bannister

Exo 7:5 "The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel from their midst."

Back in the late 70's and early 80's as a young Christian I remember being fascinated by the book of Exodus. I was amazed by the hard hardheartedness of Pharaoh as all the plagues were cast upon him and the Egyptians. As my faith began to mature more I began to further realize that we are all headstrong like this, at least to various degrees.

At the outset He endeavored to prove to Pharaoh who and what He was. One of the chief reasons for the plagues, as well as of these miracles, was to establish the fact that the Jehovah of the Hebrews was the great Being who lives behind the whole apparatus of nature. F. B. Meyer

Eze 39:7 "My holy name I will make known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let My holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron and told them when Pharaoh asks them to work a miracle that Aaron would take his staff and throw it down before Pharaoh His staff then became a serpent. The magicians of Pharaoh were able to duplicate this with their staffs, except for one problem. Aaron's staff swallowed all of the Pharaoh’s magicians staffs. This was just the beginning of what became the ten plagues God sent against the nation of Egypt. Now one would think that with the increasing intensity of the impending plagues that it would cause Pharaoh and the Egyptians to stop and consider the consequences of sin against God. Pharaoh heart was indeed hardened against God to the point that this rebellion would lead to judgment upon Egypt.

The succession of terrible judgments with which the country was about to be scourged would fully demonstrate the supremacy of Israel’s God. Jamieson, Fauset and Brown Commentary

Psa 9:16 The LORD has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion Selah.

Pharaoh's obstinacy was either caused or permitted in mercy to the Egyptians, that he and his magicians being suffered to oppose Moses and Aaron to the uttermost of their power, the Israelites might be brought out of Egypt in so signal a manner, in spite of all the opposition of the Egyptians, their king, and their gods, that Jehovah might appear to be All-mighty and All-sufficient. Adam Clarke

Exo 7:17 'Thus says the LORD, "By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and it will be turned to blood.

THE ungodly world is hard to teach. Egypt does not know Jehovah, and therefore dares to set up its idols, and even ventures to ask—“Who is the Lord?” Yet the Lord means to break proud hearts, whether they will or not. When His judgments thunder over their heads, darken their skies, destroy their harvests, and slay their sons, they begin to discern somewhat of Jehovah’s power. There will yet be such things done in the earth as shall bring skeptics to their knees. Let us not be dismayed because of their blasphemies for the Lord can take care of His own name, and He will do so in a very effectual manner.
The salvation of His own people was another potent means of making Egypt know that the God of Israel was Jehovah, the living and true God. No Israelite died by any one of the ten plagues. None of the chosen seed were drowned in the Red Sea. Even so, the salvation of the elect and the sure glorification of all true believers will make the most obstinate of God’s enemies acknowledge that Jehovah, He is the God.
Oh, that His convincing power would go forth by His Holy Spirit in the preaching of the gospel till all nations shall bow at the name of Jesus and call Him Lord!
Charles Spurgeon

Exo 14:18 "Then the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I am honored through Pharaoh, through his chariots and his horsemen."

So that I may lay My hand on Egypt . . . and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD: This explains why the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart - essentially, to bring righteous judgment upon Egypt: Pharaoh and the Egyptians said they didn’t know who the LORD was; God is going to let them know. David Guzic

In application for our lives today, I see the need to be on guard, on guard that my heart doesn't somehow become hardened against the will of God. I speak of myself and not to judge others, for this is a personal issue between each person and God. It is all too easy to overlook the small things that we allow to harden our hearts. Let's conclude today with the following excerpt from F.B. Meyer

So with each individual believer. — Each one of us has been formed for Jesus Himself, that we might show forth his praise. In growing purity and sweetness, in our deliverance from the clinging corruptions of the world and flesh, in our patience under tribulation, our submission and steadfast hope, in our willingness to sacrifice ourselves for others, let us be revelations of what Christ is, and of what He can make sinful men become. F.B. Meyer

Going Against The Grain-by, Janet Royal England U.K.

Going Against the Grain means “to do something that is the opposite of what is usually done”

Sometimes you will find yourself in a situation that people think they have got you over a barrel! What I mean is they think that they have won a situation over you ? But consider could the Lord be teaching you something? what could we learn from such a situation ?

We need to take a step back and reflect and think what would Jesus do in this situation? Would he retaliate? Would he take the matter into his own hands? Would he get physical? ie. give them a slap in the face? NO he would let his words be few
Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.( Ecclesiastes 5:2)

My flesh says slap them in the face. The bible says:
If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. ( Luke 6 v 29)

My flesh says retaliate but Romans 12 v 14 – 18 says
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with ALL men.

God wants to build our character if we will only let him, are you prepared to count the cost ?
It feels uncomfortable to go against the grain, but it’s necessary for the glory of God.
The Lord is looking for a people who are determined to go against the grain. Those who will stand up for righteousness and NOT conform to the things of this world Romans (12 v 2) Are you prepared to go against the grain ?
“He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3 v 30).
