How To Get Direction And Teaching From God
If I do not post about Jade helm, prophecy in the news, it does drive many to the site, but I have always used teaching and what a verse means, theology. Appologetcs, and basic Greek and Hebrew Studies. This is one such teaching, I love to minister, teach, preach, esp of late teach . I have a deep burden for the body of Christ to develop more serious bible study, with E-Sword it does not take long at all.
How To Get Direction And Teaching From God
Psa 25:3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Psa 25:3 Yea,H1571 let noneH3605 H3808 that waitH6960 on thee be ashamed:H954 let them be ashamedH954 which transgressH898 without cause.H7387
We have the lords word on this subject, IF we faithfully wait on the lord we shall not be shamed, put to shame. The Hebrew words bring out the full flavor of this precious promise, dear reader you will not be ashamed if you wait on the lord.
1) to wait, look for, hope, expect
1a) (Qal) waiting (participle)
1b1) to wait or look eagerly for
1b2) to lie in wait for
1b3) to wait for, linger for
2) to collect, bind together
2a) (Niphal) to be collected
Part of Speech: verb
A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: a primitive root
1) to put to shame, be ashamed, be disconcerted, be disappointed
1a1) to feel shame
1a2) to be ashamed, disconcerted, disappointed (by reason of)
1b) (Piel) to delay (in shame)
1c1) to put to shame
1c2) to act shamefully
1c3) to be ashamed
1d) (Hithpolel) to be ashamed before one another
A primitive root; properly to pale, that is, by implication to be ashamed; also (by implication) to be disappointed, or delayed: - (be, make, bring to, cause, put to, with, a-) shame (-d), be (put to) confounded (-fusion), become dry, delay, be long.
A primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), that is, collect; (figuratively) to expect: - gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).
Psa 25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Psa 25:3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed:
The second form is by intermixture with H6041; from H6031; depressed (figuratively), in mind (gentle) or circumstances (needy, especially saintly): - humble, lowly, meek, poor`. Compare H6041.
Psa 25:9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
A primitive root (possibly rather identical with H6030 through the idea of looking down or browbeating); to depress literally or figuratively, transitively or intransitively (in various applications). (sing is by mistake for H6030.): - abase self, afflict (-ion, self), answer [by mistake for H6030], chasten self, deal hardly with, defile, exercise, force, gentleness, humble (self), hurt, ravish, sing [by mistake for H6030], speak [by mistake for H6030], submit self, weaken, X in any wise.
From H6031; depressed, in mind or circumstances (practically the same as H6035 subjectively and H6041 objectively): - afflicted, humble`, lowly`, needy, poor.
Do you want to learn the ways of the Lord, do you desire to be taught by God, one needs as Jesus said a meek spirit, as always the Hebrew brings out the whole wording and the nuggets of this simple, yet profound word Meek.
Notice what some of the Hebrew brings out.
1. Chasten self
2. Abase self
3. Deal hardly with,
We must die daily, be humble and teachable, deal harsh with ourselves, but tender heart-ed with others. To be lit depressed in mind, lowly and esteem others better than yourself as the N.T. says
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Apparently a primary word; mild, that is, (by implication) humble: - meek. See also G4235.
A form of G4239, used in certain parts; gentle, that is, humble: - meek.
The Greek brings out the word humble, mild temperament, gentle
Dear reader what an exhortation and one of the blessed beatitudes, blessed, or blessed means happy, esp in the Hebrew wording. We are happy when we are blessed. No matter what we face we are to be gentle, kind, loving, forgiving of others. If we do not forgive, we shall not be forgiven. Meekness is a big attribute of our Lord Jesus and as we strive to live and become more like Jesus, we are to strive to be meek in our dealings with others as the lord is with us.
It is by design my ministry is called Truth and mercy as both must be present as the next verse brings out.
Psa 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
My ministry used to be called mercy and truth ministries, I changed it, reversed only because when my site was a full blown . org domain mercy and truth was taken and is the ministry of Franklin Graham a truly great man and ministry. I sometimes still call the ministry mercy and truth as all in the word, everywhere it is always said Mercy and than truth and this is the way it should be lived and the way we must deal with others.
Ye who are spiritual restore the one caught in a sin with meekness considering yourself lest ye also be tempted. A clarion call to all who minister and to all saints in general. One commentary I read said, we should be brutal with ourselves and gentle with others faults and offenses. If we judged ourselves we shall not be judged as Paul brings out.
I find a spiritual attraction to dear saints that are humble and meek, not the gifted, or large in ministry, not the successful, or talented, but the gentle, meek ,and esp. the Humble. This attribute is a Jesus attribute, let us strive to be like minded.
Psa 25:12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
Now, in this verse we learn more about who our lord will direct, and that is the reason for this post, the main theme, getting direction, leading and teaching from our lord, we read about meekness, now we see another attribute to receive direction and teaching and the word is the one who fears the lord.
Sadly we hear so little about the fear of the lord. Why? most do not understand it. In the N.T. it is different than in the O.T. In the It is a reverence and a standing in awe and fear of who our lord is, and not a God of lighting boltz for every mistake we make, thank God for N.T. Grace.
Yet, fear of the lord is still a missing essential in much preaching and teaching, now days people look at the lord as their sugar daddy, the source of blessing and prosperity and not the lord of lord and king of kings that we are to reverence in N.T. Godly fear. Its not scary, it brings blessing, understanding, and as this verse says, it is an attribute we must seek if we want to be taught and lead, guided by our lord. Our lord whispers his secrets to his godly ones, are you one. The lord yearns to reveal his father heart to his children and whisper his mysteries and secrets to his meek and humble, ones in Godly fear. So to find the answers you seek, these attributes are a must, they tell us what we should live like and how we should deal with others.
Psa 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
From H3245; a session, that is, company of persons (in close deliberation); by implication intimacy, consultation, a secret: - assembly, counsel, inward, secret (counsel).
If you’re in a place where all is perplexity ALL THE TIME, we may have some repenting to do. The lord has not moved, we have, He changes not, but we do. Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever. So if you want all the lord has for you, follow these basic attributes, and when you fail, as we all do, thank God for MERCY and TRURH
Psa 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
