I could do a full message on each verse, have the time, LOL.

You can see from the greek and the verses given , just how important taking heed is. It is watching, and praying, this goes hand in hand with taking heed. Sounds simple enough, yet so few heed the words of warning, so many live as if the days ahead will be nothing to heed, spiritual laziness ones, who think they are standing, but we read. We will look a little closer at just four of the verses.

1. Heb_3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

2. Col_4:17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

3. 1Ti_4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

4. 1Co_10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Note: I am explaining these verses in reverse order, strating with number our an working my way up to the first verse listed.

4. These are four very serious take heed verses. Do any of them convict you? To some they should. Many think they are standing, walking, living the Christian life and are just fine, yet a little sin here, a little compromise there, one brick at a time, the wall is now down, they have changed, for the worse and do not even know it. 85% of Americans still say they are of the christian faith,in one pole I read, 85%, many are Christian in name only, or our country would not be under judgment, America would be a righteouss God fearing nation , if this was a fact.

What do you think saying,' I am a Christian means'? Anything goes, liberal to the Tee', no sound doctrine, just religious observation while living as apostates. Born again ones, I have heard say, ' 'All paths lead to God, accept everyone, every view, homosexuals welcome, no problem, we can not judge'. That is modern day American Christian. That is anything but being born again. We need a reformation, a great awakining, not more false outpourings and anttics, called revival. The Chapel in the wilerness tent revival will be a shock to the ones who come, many will not come on night two, aside from the truly hungery for more of the true presence of Christ. Me and my wife were talking about the tent revival, and the church, I said if there are any anttics, false manifestations, people acting like animlas and such, it will be called out on the spot, STOP, that is not the holy spirit. Right after I will say, 'We are not going to quench the spirit, we desier all the lord has or us', there will be mainfestations, healings, prophecy, but it will be decent and in order, but with holy fire. This holy fire will not be hindered, it will be enccouraged, as the lords glory desends, and it will, the lord said, 'I will come in might and power, to save souls, pour out my spirit, heal, deliver, and more.

3. 1Ti_4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Every person is a minister, every person has a ministry, everyperson has a God ordained purpose. All are a part of the royal priest hood of ALL belivers, so in this verse, Paul was speaking to Pastor Timothy, correct. He was told take heed to himself, take heed to the pure. true doctrine he was taught. Timothy was told this, how much more us? Sound dotrine must be heeded, practice, guarded, so no man steals your crown, and also that no man by sin gives willing over his crown. It takes endurance and strong faith to go against the current trends, to dare to declare, ' I believe the whole bible, I know there is only one way to heaven, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jeus Christ.

Next, he is told , continue in pure doctrine, meaning the revealed gospel truths Paul taught him.
The next part blows out of the water the doctrine of unconitional Eternal security, we plainly read, Paul is saying, if you do not take heed to your self you will lose your soul, if he continued, only than would he save himself and the ones he preached to. The word said it, not me.

2. Col_4:17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

JFB says;

say to Archippus — The Colossians (not merely the clergy, but the laymen) are directed, “Speak ye to Archippus.” This proves that Scripture belongs to the laity as well as the clergy; and that laymen may profitably admonish the clergy in particular cases when they do so in meekness. Bengel suggests that Archippus was perhaps prevented from going to the Church assembly by weak health or age. The word, “fulfil,” accords with his ministry being near its close (Col_1:25; compare Phm_1:2). However, “fulfil” may mean, as in 2Ti_4:5, “make full proof of thy ministry.” “Give all diligence to follow it out fully”; admonition perhaps needed by Archippus.

Paul said in his last words in the bible, the need for all to heed in ministry, finish the job. Paul gave us the proper example to do so.

2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

2Ti 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

2Ti 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Paul said at his trial, 'I was not disobediant to the heaveny vision, but fulilled his call to ministry', all the way to the time he was beheaded.

Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Act 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

Act 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Act 26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

Act 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Act 26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

Glory to God, may we all do the same.

1. Heb_3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Number one sums it all up for every reader, may we all take heed that we do not fall from the faith in unbelief, it will cost us our eternal soul, we will be hell bound, we should be heaven bound, all it takes to be secure in Christ, and to be heaven bound, is to take heed, have you?
