Pro 9:1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

Pulpit Commentary;

She hath hewn out her seven pillars. Architecturally, according to Hitzig and others, the pillars of the inner court are meant, which supported the gallery of the first story. Four of these were m the corners, three in the middle of three sides, while the entrance to the court was through the fourth side of the square. The number seven generally denotes perfection; it is the covenant number, expressive of harmony and unity generally, the signature of holiness and blessing, completeness and rest. So in the Apocalypse the whole Church is represented by the number of seven Churches (Rev_1:4, etc.; see on Pro_26:16). Wisdom’s house is said to be thus founded because of its perfection and adaptability to all states of men. But doubtless there is a reference to the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit, which rested upon the Christ (Isa_11:2, etc.), and which are the support and strength of the Church, being symbolized by the seven-branched candlestick in the temple.

Barnes:

Seven pillars - The number is chosen as indicating completeness and perfection. God revealing Himself in nature, resting in His work, entering into covenant with human beings - these were the ideas conveyed by it.

Gill:

she hath hewn out her seven pillars; ministers of the Gospel, compared to pillars for strength and stability, and for their being instrumental in supporting the interest and church of Christ; in allusion to the pillars in Solomon's temple, Jachin and Boaz; see Gal_2:9. These are said to be "hewn", being polished, beautified, and adorned with the gifts and graces of the Spirit by Christ, and thereby fitted for their work and service; and said to be "seven", because there is a complete and sufficient number of them, which Christ has provided, and always will provide for his churches, as long as they continue in the world. Though it may be these seven pillars may denote in general the firmness and solidity of this spiritual building, the church, and the continuance of it by the power of God; or they may have respect to the seven states of the church in so many periods of time, to last to the end of all things, signified by the seven churches in the book of the Revelation; so Cocceius (c).

Geneva Notes:

Proverbs 9:1
Wisdom hath built her (a) house, she hath hewn out her (b) seven pillars:

(a) Christ has prepared him a Church.

(b) That is, many chief supports and principal parts of his Church, as were the patriarchs, prophets, apostles, pastors and teachers.

Wesley:

Proverbs 9:1
Her house - For the reception of her guests. Seven - Many pillars; whereby is intimated the beauty and stability of the church. Pillars - Prophets, and apostles, and ministers.

Clarke:

Proverbs 9:1

Wisdom hath builded her house - The eternal counsel of God has framed the universe.
She hath hewn out her seven pillars - Every thing has been so constructed as to exhibit a scene of grandeur, stability, and durableness.

K&D;

when it suggests that the seven pillars are the seven gifts of the Holy Ghost. The seven-foldness of the manifestation of the Spirit, already brought near by the seven lamps of the sacred candelabra (the מְנוֹרָה), is established by Isa_11:2 (vid., l.c.)

and that Wisdom is the possessor and dispenser of the Spirit she herself testifies, Pro_1:23. Her Spirit is the “Spirit of wisdom;” but at the same time, since, born of God, she is mediatrix between God and the world, also the “Spirit of Jahve,” He is the “spirit of understanding,” the “spirit of counsel,” and the “spirit of might” (Isa_11:2); for she says, Pro_8:14, “Counsel is mine, and reflection; I am understanding, I have strength.” He is also the “spirit of knowledge,” and the “spirit of the fear of the Lord” (Isa_11:2); for fear and the knowledge of Jahve are, according to Pro_9:14, the beginning of wisdom, and essentially wisdom itself.

Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Henry:

I. The rich provision which Wisdom has made for the reception of all those that will be her disciples.

This is represented under the similitude of a sumptuous feast, whence it is probable, our Saviour borrowed those parables in which he compared the kingdom of heaven to a great supper, Mat_22:2; Luk_14:16. And so it was prophesied of, Isa_25:6. It is such a feast as Ahasuerus made to show the riches of his glorious kingdom. The grace of the gospel is thus set before us in the ordinance of the Lord's supper. To bid her guests welcome,

1. Here is a stately palace provided, Pro_9:1. Wisdom, not finding a house capacious enough for all her guests, has built one on purpose, and, both to strengthen it and to beautify it, she has hewn out her seven pillars, which make it to be very firm, and look very great.

Heaven is the house which Wisdom has built to entertain all her guests that are called to the marriage-supper of the Lamb; that is her Father's house, where there are many mansions, and whither she has gone to prepare places for us. She has hanged the earth upon nothing, there in it we have no continuing city; but heaven is a city that has foundations, has pillars. The church is Wisdom's house, to which she invites her guests, supported by the power and promise of God, as by seven pillars.

Probably, Solomon refers to the temple which he himself had lately built for the service of religion, and to which he would persuade people to resort, both to worship God and to receive the instructions of Wisdom. Some reckon the schools of the prophets to be here intended.

Gal 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Rev 21:15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

Rev 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

Rev 21:18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

Rev 21:20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

1Ki 7:21 And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

Barnes:

1 Kings 7:21

The Septuagint in the parallel passage (margin reference), translate Jachin and Boaz by Κατόρθωσις Katorthōsis and Ἰσχύς Ischus - “Direction” and “Strength.” The literal meaning of the names is given in the margin. The meaning was probably “God will establish in strength” (i. e. firmly) the temple and the religion connected with it.

Geneva Notes:

1 Kings 7:21
And he set up the pillars in the (l) porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof (m) Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof (n) Boaz.

(l) Which was in the inner court between the temple and the oracle.

(m) That is, he will stablish, that is, his promise toward this house.

(n) That is, in strength: meaning the power of it will continue.

JFB:

1 Kings 7:21

Jachin and ... Boaz — These names were symbolical, and indicated the strength and stability - not so much of the material temple, for they were destroyed along with it (Jer_52:17), as of the spiritual kingdom of God, which was embodied in the temple.

The number 7 is perfection. As you can see the commentaries have much to say,they give many different meanings. The message I have is concerning strength and stability.

Hebrew Stability;

H530

אֱמֻנָה אֱמוּנָה
'ĕmûnâh 'ĕmûnâh
em-oo-naw', em-oo-naw'
Feminine of H529; literally firmness; figuratively security; moral fidelity: - faith (-ful, -ly, -ness, [man]), set office, stability, steady, truly, truth, verily.

H529

אֵמוּן
'êmûn
ay-moon'
From H539; established, that is, (figuratively) trusty; also (abstractly) trustworthiness: - faith (-ful), truth.

Webster says what this word means;

Stability
STABILITY, n. [L. See Stab.]

1. Steadiness; stableness; firmness; strength to stand without being moved or overthrown; as the stability of a throne; the stability of a constitution of government.

2. Steadiness or firmness of character; firmness of resolution or purpose; the qualities opposite to fickleness, irresolution or inconstancy. We say, a man of little stability, or of unusual stability.

3. Fixedness; as opposed to fluidity. [I believe not now used.]

Since fluidness and stability are contrary qualities--

WE must get to the place where we are stable, steady, full of wisdom and knowledge, this comes by the fear of the lord that is the start point of Knowledge:

Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

WE live in a day where so many have no firm foundation, let alone 7 pillars. I ask are you standing on the word? Are you taking from the bible only things you like, or the word as a whole, in its  perfection, 7 Pillars, you can not chose one or two Pillars, your spiritual house will never stand firm. All 7, the complete revelation from Gen to Revelations, the perfection of the lord the creator of all and the 7th day of rest. The commentaries said it is indeed also ministers, gifts of the spirit and all is a spiritual house.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

 We are the church, the temple, the holy spirit fills us , we are given others with different gifts to build up the bride of Christ. This is our stability, Jesus the chief corner stone, our all in all, we are complete in Christ. Knowledge and wisdom we have from Jesus, Beacuse we have the very mind of Christ.

This long message is going somewhere so read on.
The next word is strength, listed first, than stability, they go hand in hand. We get strength from our lord, unity of the bride, edifying each other and not tearing others to shreds, because they do not believe exactly as we do. Love covers a multitude of sins, we are the building, the lord lit. inhabits, we are given strength, not by our might, or strength, but by the power of the lord.
Many miss the true full gospel experience,  it is all the lord, we co-operate with the lord and we have the foundation of perfection, Oh the 7 pillars .
If anyone asks for the spirit do you get a stone? NO, we get the whole deal, the whole 7 pillars of perfection and completeness. Understand we will never be perfect this side of glory, if you are an island to yourself, you are open to, many satanic attacks.

Do you desire to be all the lord has for you, or are you satisfied with just enough to get by? This is less then the perfect will of the lord, it is like  saying, 'I am Ok with 3 pillars', but why, so many are satisfied with a mediocre Christian walk.

I want all the lord has for me, blessings and tests, I want it all, guess what, you and I can have it all, we can have the 7 pillars.

This is akin to the lords omniscient, omnipotent, perfect, completness. We read of the 7 Spirits of the lord. This shows our lord sees all, knows all , is everywhere at the same time, something the Devil and man can not be, nor do, this is reserved for the lord God, Jesus, and we his people simply partake in this as Jn 17 says 'we are one in Christ and one in God', that is utterly amazing, and it is the 7 pillars of the lords holy perfection.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

I just now did a search on how many times the number 7 is used in just the book of Revelations, I never did that before until now, wow.

It is used 54 times in 31 verses, this is not a mystical thing, it is not numerology, it is Gods perfection and it is indeed the lords will for us to grasp this if it is used 54 times in one book, one reason verse three gives and says a blessing on us when we hear and read this prophetic book, the only book in all the bible that gives this statment, so seven is real, it is the lord, it is perfect, and in him we are complete, he is the 7 pillars, the seven thunders, the seven spirits, and it is all ONE.

Joh 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Joh 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

 Heb 2:10  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Heb 2:11  For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

He who has ears to hear, let him hear, he who has eyes let him see all the lord has, who he is, and still is. Think on this.
