The Promises Of God-By Charles Novak-Guest Writer-New Co Minister

God , Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit; the Godhead, the creator of all things from nothing except His Word, His Speech His Thought. Trough Him all things are made which He sees are fit. Right correct, or plainly spoken His Will. Well as man we take far too much credit for what we believe we have done or created, not giving thanks or His due right to God for the making of man, with his human brain, which has made such things as language or electricity. How arrogant we are, for we have not created. To create something we as humans would have to make it into existence from nothing, that is why we only can make something for what has already been created by our Lord God The Father, His Son, The Lamb Of God, The Holy Messiah Our Savior Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.

So when when as mere mortal men hear the word promise, I believe we tend to look at it from the human standpoint. This is one of mankind's biggest mistakes, why ? i will explain. And I will use as a example what we as man call man's best friend; the canine species well know by all as the dog. In particular the breed of dog called the pit bull. Just follow me with this and it will come full circle. Pit bulls are know for their reputation as being vicious and violent in nature, but truthfully there is some truth behind this thought pattern. If a male and female pit bull who were taught to fight have puppies, and the puppies are taught to fight, and they have puppies who are taught to fight, make no mistake that this unfavorable quality will be breed so to speak into them. Now continue in this “breeding pattern” for decades and make no mistake what you will have is a animal who was bread for fighting and killing.

How does this relate to the point of mankind ? well I will tell you. When God made mankind we were perfect without blemish or sin this is because we were made in the image of our perfect and Holy Creator God, who was sinless. This can be verified in (Genesis Chapter 1 Verse 26 ESV) Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." Anything made after His likeness is also perfect, because He is perfect. But how we have followed the "breeding pattern" which results in unfavorable qualities. The proper way to say this is, we were perfect without sin as God had made us, until the first sin was made.

As we read in (Genesis Chapter 3 Verses 1 Through 4 ESV) "Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?" And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die" and in (Genesis Chapter 3 Verse 13 ESV) "Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

Since the day that the forbidden fruit was eaten mankind was a sinner, and gave birth to babies who were sinners, who gave birth to babies who were sinners and so on and so fourth. This is why when man looks at the word promise from a human standpoint, we don't see the word as having the definition that has been given to it when the Lord God gave promises throughout The Bible. When we look at it through human eyes from a human standpoint the definition falls short of the truth that the definition actually has. When God makes promises, we can rest assured that the word will hold true to the meaning and intention that God meant when He Spoke it to us.

Their are literally thousands of promises made in The Bible, we will look into but a small portion of the promises of God. We are so important to God that Love is one of the main points in The Bible, and that is exactly what you will see be these promises that are there for the saved in faith.

Addictions (Ezekiel Chapter 36 Verses 26 Through 27 KJV) “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them"

Deliverance from demonic harassment (James Chapter4 Verse 7 KJV) "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. "

Family (Proverbs Chapter 23 Verse 24 KJV) "The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him."

Fear (Exoduses Chapter 14 Verse 14 KJV) “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

Filling of The Holy Spirit (Proverbs Chapter 1 Verse 23 KJV) “Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you."

Forgiveness (2 Chronicles Chapter 7 Verse 14 KJV) "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Guidance (Genesis Chapter 28 Verse 15 KJV) "And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Health (Exodus Chapter 15 Verse 26 KJV) "And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Marriage (Proverbs Chapter 18 Verse 22 KJV) “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

Salvation (Romans Chapter 6 Verse 23 KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Strength to do God's Will (Joshua Chapter 1 Verse ( KJV) “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

So when you look toward the heavens wanting to see the promises of God please be sure to look for them and upon them not from a human standpoint, but from the standpoint that the perfect creator our Lord God who does not lie has originally intended the word to be defined as, as a promises of love to heal our sinful souls. By the way i would like to add that i have two fully grown pit bulls that are as sweet as new born baby puppies, and if you were here to see them your biggest worry would be weather or not you could get them off of you while being licked with loving dogie kisses. We must brake out of the "breeding pattern" of sin and look toward the life that God has given us and has always wanted us to live.
