DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BOAT-From May 2014- May Day Message

I pray I will be able to preach this one on Video, we will see, this is preaching stuff, esp towards the last part.

Act 27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

Act 27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.

Act 27:23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

Acts 27:23

The - God, whose I am, and whom I serve - This Divine communication was intended to give credit to the apostle and to his doctrine; and, in such perilous circumstances, to speak so confidently, when every appearance was against him, argued the fullest persuasion of the truth of what he spoke; and the fulfillment, so exactly coinciding with the prediction, must have shown these heathens that the God whom Paul served must be widely different from theirs.

Act 27:24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

Act 27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me

Faith takes all this at his word, and firmly believes it shall be as he has said: and it has good grounds and reasons for acting in this manner; from the veracity, faithfulness, and power of God, who has promised; and from the nature of the promises themselves, which are unconditional, immutable, all in Christ, and yea and amen in him, and not one of them has ever failed: and such a believing frame of soul greatly encourages cheerfulness of spirit, and produces it: a believer is cheerful himself, as he has reason to be; he is filled with joy and peace in believing, yea, with a joy unspeakable, and full of glory; and he makes all about him cheerful; he comforts others with the same comforts he has been comforted of God; and however, he exhorts, after his own example, to believe, and be of good cheer;

Whatever God has told his people of, or has promised unto them, shall be performed, whether with respect to things temporal; that they shall not want any good thing; that all their afflictions shall be for their good; that they shall be supported under them, and at last brought out of them: or whether with respect to spiritual things; whatever he has said concerning himself, that he will be their God, will continue to love them, will not leave them, nor forsake them, will guide and protect them, will supply all their need, and give them grace here, and glory hereafter; and whatever he has said concerning his Son, that he is their Savior and Redeemer.

Acts 27:25

Wherefore be of good cheer (dio euthumeite). God had spoken. That was enough

For I believe God (pisteuō gar tōi theōi). This is Paul’s reason for his own good cheer and for his exhortation to confidence in spite of circumstances so untoward

2Ch 20:20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

2 Chronicles 20:20-21

as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood ... Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem — probably in the gate of Jerusalem, the place of general rendezvous; and as the people were on the eve of setting out, he exhorted them to repose implicit trust in the Lord and His prophet, not to be timid or desponding at sight of the enemy, but to remain firm in the confident assurance of a miraculous deliverance, without their striking a single stroke.

Hebrew Believe:

A primitive root; properly to build up or support; to foster as a parent or nurse; figuratively to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust or believe, to be permanent or quiet; morally to be true or certain; once (in Isa_30:21; by interchange for H541) to go to the right hand: - hence assurance, believe, bring up, establish, + fail, be faithful (of long continuance, stedfast, sure, surely, trusty, verified), nurse, (-ing father), (put), trust, turn to the right.

This point was brought out in a message called, " The divine Amen" Aman is interchangeable many times with , believe, so be it ,Established, aman. Believe.

Established Hebrew:

A primitive root; properly to build up or support; to foster as a parent or nurse; figuratively to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust or believe, to be permanent or quiet; morally to be true or certain; once (in Isa_30:21; by interchange for H541) to go to the right hand: - hence assurance, believe, bring up, establish, + fail, be faithful (of long continuance, stedfast, sure, surely, trusty, verified), nurse, (-ing father), (put), trust, turn to the right.

Believe second time, again divine amen:

Strong's 539. All three, same word, aman, wild.

His Prophets Hebrew:

From H5012; a prophet or (generally) inspired man: - prophecy, that prophesy, prophet.

A primitive root; to prophesy, that is, speak (or sing) by inspiration (in prediction or simple discourse): - prophesy (-ing) make self a prophet.

So shall ye prosper Hebrew:

צלח צלח
tsâlach tsâlêach
tsaw-lakh', tsaw-lay'-akh
A primitive root; to push forward, in various senses (literally or figuratively, transitively or intransitively): - break out, come (mightily), go over, be good, be meet, be profitable, (cause to, effect, make to, send) prosper (-ity, -ous, -ously).

We no longer look to, and believe in every word a N.T. Prophet says and are established, we look to Jesus, his word, and our teacher the Holy Spirit, believe in Jesus, believe in the word, believe what the Holy Spirit teaches you, tells you and you shall prosper spiritually.

This cross reference given to show, Paul, as an Apostle, was a Prophet. The N.T. Apostle had the five fold gifts of the Spirit, and signs and true wonders were the sign of an Apostle. Many feel today , we no longer have prophets, regardless, never trust, or base your belief system on a N.T. Prophet, mostly, the function, role, and call are different than O.T. Prophets, this is why N.T. prophets know in part and prophecy in part, Grace. The O.T. Prophets , if a word did not come to pass, they were stoned. Note: The great prophets , who never had a word fall to the ground, were persecuted as Jesus said, and why? They were not false, the O.T. Congregation did not want to hear truth, this is the crises today, why Truth, true watchmen are reproved, railed on, not heeded, because men shall turn from sound doctrine, they will not be able to even listen or handle sound doctrine, as Paul said, of Christians in Apostasy in these last days. The righteous, true Prophets were persecuted, and so will the true watchmen, Christians, today be, it never has changed and until the end of the tribulation, it never will, Hence: Judgment.

Paul knew the divine amen, he had faith, what God said, he would do, we all need this faith, it is what establishes us, aman's us, when we say aman, to a word the lord gives, to the bible, we are saying, I believe what it says, I believe the lord who said it, I have faith in the word, and I rest in that faith.

In the end of the text, they reached the shore, all were safe, it did not prevent a violent Ship wreck, the road many times, even the path to promises given as we wait, in faith, hope, this road is often paved with tears.
But all that is promised by the lord, every true foretelling he gives, if it is truly from him, will come to pass, you may have to face a violent Shipwreck first, but you will reach the other side.

Act 27:34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.

Act 27:35 And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.

Act 27:36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.

Act 27:44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
I have come to learn over the past few years somethings, I learn everyday, but I have firmly learned a few things. I was meditating on this, lessons learned, all that has happened, and still is, what is it, waiting, this constant answer in prayer, No, or wait, not yet. That is the main themes of my answered prayers, why, what has it done, what Have I learned, what can you learn when the same happens to you?

Wait....wait......wait......not yet, soon wait........soon I promise, .

What do we do with this?

Whatever happens, the lesson is. DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BOAT!

When Jesus was sleeping in the boat and a very bad storm came, they woke Jesus up, they were so afraid as the boat was taking in water, they thought they would die, but Jesus was in that boat. Jesus is in your boat, so...DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BOAT.

All of Hells fury was in that storm, as was the one Paul was in, the men aboard also wanted to get out of that boat, Paul said, DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BOAT and you will live. They stayed, they made it to the Island, but they had a bad shipwreck before, Now, they were told if they jumped ship, they would die, they had to stay in the boat. What this says too us is, you may be in a bad place, your boat can be anything, you fill in the blank. The lord is with you, " I will never leave you, or forsake you, lo I am with you, even unto the end".

The Christian walk on earth, filled with storms, islands, havens, times of rest, nice sails, and severe storms. This is the Christian walk, we are on one side-this world, but we are told to go to the other side- Heaven, our whole life is that journey, may we never get out of the boat, it, Jesus, faithfulness is the only way to reach the other side, Glory, is waiting , on the other side.

You may see some rocks ahead, you may think all hope is lost, and you will no longer wait, and follow the lord, this can be a life and death decision beloved. Jesus is in you, the hope of Glory, you have the Holy Spirit inside you, you are that Temple, you are that vessel, that boat, but Jesus is not the Co-Pilot, He is the Pilot, the Captain of our Salvation.

No matter what you think, see, no matter what may come, and what you think may come, and it does not, these are the rocks, cliffs, storms, they cause doubt. This must be given over to the lord, and in faith, stay the course, steady you mind. DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BOAT. If you do this beloved, you will make it to the other side, the word gives us promise on this, just stay in the boat, and all , one day will make sense, all will be clear, and by Grace you will be in Glory. This is the lesson. Stay in the boat, no matter what.
