Post 2,323 En-hakkore The Miracle Of Water-And Deliverance

Jdg 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

Jdg 15:15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

Jdg 15:16 And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.

Jdg 15:17 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi.

Jdg 15:18 And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

Jdg 15:19 But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day.

Jdg 15:20 And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.

N.T. Same Word For This Message

Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

REFLECTIONS.—The withholding of the most common necessaries of life, little as we are apt to value them, would be more fatal than the sword. The want of a draught of water brought Samson nearer to the grave than all the host of the Philistines.

1. We see him here ready to die with thirst; no water is nigh; and he is so parched and weak, as to be unable to seek farther. In this distress he calls upon God, who alone could relieve him. In his prayer he pleads God's past mercies as an argument for present help, and urges the dishonour which would be cast on God, if now he should be given into the hands of the uncircumcised, after such an instance of divine interposition.

Note; (1.) Jesus on the cross cried thus, I thirst.

(2.) In time of distress, prayer is our best resource.

(3.) Past mercies should encourage us to wait upon God, and no plea so prevalent as his own glory.

2. God heard and answered him, permitting the distress only to exercise his faith, keep his spirit humble, and magnify his own power and grace. God clave the rock, and a stream of fresh water sprang up; whereupon his fainting spirit revived, and his departing life returned. Note; (1.) Every day we have to praise God for a new life given us.

(2.) Without the constant supply of living streams from the fountain of grace, our souls must quickly faint and die.

3. Twenty years he judged Israel, during which the Philistines, though not utterly subdued, seem not to have oppressed them as before, checked by the terror of his arm; so that they had respite from the yoke, if not perfect freedom, Note; (1.) It is a mercy to have our afflictions alleviated.
 (2.) If we improve the beginning of our mercies, we may expect that they will be continued and perfected.

Clarke;

En-hakkore - The well of the implorer; this name he gave to the spot where the water rose, in order to perpetuate the bounty of God in affording him this miraculous supply.

En-hakkore meaning;

Hitchcock;

En-hakkore
fountain of him that called or prayed

Smith;

En-hak'ko-re. (fount of the caller)

Beloved this is a message of comfort, hope, faith, And Miracles.

I have done a few messages on how in the desert place the lord gave many words-The Coming Second Exodus Pt 1 and Pt 2-The 7 Tree Prophecy and others.

This really spoke to me as I have been praying about the water issue, number one, it would kill us faster than Philistines -(non believing Pagan, evil ones).

This word goes deeper in this thought.

Miracle provision of water.

It was after Sampson killed 1,000 people with jaw bone of a donkey, that alone is utterly amazing. Next he cried to the lord for he was in thirst, I would be thirsty if I killed 1,000 people with a bone of an animal. LOL.

The miracle came, and Sampson named the place En-hak'ko-re. The words define what the name means.

1. Fount of the caller

2. Fountain of him that called or prayed.

It is a matter of faith, no fear. We read in the N.T. We are not to worry about water, what we will drink, eat, put on.

It starts and ends with faith. One thing stood out to me in our text, it shows we must first have a deliverance before we can do battle, and after the deliverance, the battle was won, and yet a need arose, thirst.

Jdg 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

This shows deliverance from bonds.

What made this deliverance possible? The Spirit of the lord. It is not a work of the flesh.

Are you in need for the lord to deliver you from something today? It is possible he will, or he will very soon.

The greatest deliverance we need in the body of Christ is deliverance from ourselves.

This can also mean and could happen , after the stuff hits the fan, you may be bound by bandits, bad people, but the spirit of the lord will come on you and give you your great escape from any bonds put on you.

Deliverance, next spiritual warfare. If criminals put you in bonds it is warfare in the flesh, but the success of the outcome will be all the lord.

We do not want to think of it, but after all falls and we are in a MadMax world, we may have to defend ourselves and loved ones. If we are persecuted for our faith, we must turn the other cheek, but not if a criminal comes against you, we do what must be done.

I want to stick with the supernatural, that just came to me and its real.

Jesus said, : 'He is the water of life if any-man drink of this water he will never thirst again'. That is the spiritual, that is eternal life, out of our bellies today, spring forth a river of life, power and what we need to do what we are called to do.

Not by might, nor by power, but by the spirit of the lord.

King David took down the Philistine Giant with a sling , but like Sampson's Jaw bone, a holy power came over both and they were victorious.
We face giants to day, we face Philistine's right now, both literal evil people and demonic powers, 'greater is he in you than he that is in the world'.

Our greatest deliverance comes when we are saved, and when we go to glory, but we are alive , and so we do have victories in our life TODAY.

Peter was in prison, his bonds were loosed by the Angels, and he was delivered from death, it was not his time yet.

Paul and Silas in the Philippine jail, at midnight a great earth quake came, and their bonds were loose and they were delivered, also the captor, the prison guard, and his whole family  accepted Jesus and savior and they were delivered.

The three Jewish boys were cast in a blazing furnace, but the incarnate Christ was there with them, their bonds burned off and yet they did not even have the smell of smoke on them.
Deliverance, both O.T. And N.T. Why? Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever, he changes not, we do.

This is present, past, and future miracle provision.

Think about how many times the lord came through just at the last second, think on how many times the lord made a way for you when you lost all hope. He still does this today, beloved.

Many have lost hope, many are in fear, many are ill and in a prison on a sick-bed, others are in poverty and do not know what they will eat and drink tomorrow. We see from this message, it will continue, the grand chapter of this promise is in Matt Ch 6 as we read.

I read emails from saints of the lord that are deeply concerned about life, events, and things ahead. Look, if your truly saved you are not called to wrath.

The rain falls on the just and un- just alike, but we do not think on these things, we think and  have faith the lord will see us through and when our name is called, to glory we go. That is hope, that is the final deliverance. Beloved that is our place called En-hakkore.

May you find peace, hope, and joy, even as this world is being turned upside down.

En-hakkore- our present help in time of need, and all by prayer and crying out in faith. May we do this today and be set apart from all those in fear.
