I did a post years ago with that title-The Secret-I did this because a pagan book was written called-The Secret-I wanted to give bible truth on the matter.
The lord reveals his secrets to his beloved. Secrets are not just concerning dates as many think, a secret is just that, a message, a word, a verse given to you by the Holy Spirit. Divine counsel and direction also are secrets. We see this in Jer 33:3 below
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
This tells us the secret to getting our needed secret, PRAYER, SIMPLE. The Holy Bible, illumination, and revelation by the Holy Spirit.

The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him,
And He will make them know His covenant.
King James Bible
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Ver. 14. The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him. Some read it "the friendship:" it signifies familiar intercourse, confidential intimacy, and select fellowship. This is a great secret.
Carnal minds cannot guess what is intended by it, and even believers cannot explain it in words, for it must be felt to be known.
The higher spiritual life is necessarily a path which the eagle's eye hath not known, and which the lion's whelp has not traveled; neither natural wisdom, nor strength can force a door into this inner chamber.
Saints have the key of heaven's hieroglyphics; they can unriddle celestial enigmas. They are initiated into the fellowship of the skies; they have heard words which it is not possible for them to repeat to their fellows. And he will shew them his covenant.
The secret of the Lord - On the word here rendered “secret,” see the notes at Job_15:8. It properly means a couch or cushion; and then, a divan or circle of friends sitting together; then, deliberation or consultation; then, familiar contact, intimacy; and then, a “secret,” - as if it were the result of a private consultation among friends, or something which pertained to them, and which they did not wish to have known.

…. some are made known to them that fear the Lord before they come to pass; as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham, with many other instances in the Old Testament; see Amo_3:7; and what is the book of the Revelation but a revelation of the secrets of Providence, from the time of Christ and his apostles, to the end of the world?
Some they observe and take notice of while they are performing, and see the gracious designs of God in them, for their good and his glory; and though some of his ways of Providence are past finding out, and his footsteps are not known as yet; hereafter his judgments will be made manifest, and the whole scene will be opened to the saints, and be clear to their view.
The secret of his love, free grace, and favor, is with them, which was in his heart from everlasting, and lay hid in his thoughts, which are as much higher than ours as the heavens are higher than the earth; and which is made manifest in regeneration, and then shed abroad in the hearts of his people.
Secret communion with God is enjoyed by those that fear him, which is what the world knows nothing of, and the joy that results from it is what a stranger intermeddles not with; the Lord has his chambers and secret places, into which he brings them, and where they dwell. The secret of his Gospel is with them;
Websters Diction First Edition in E-Sword explains the word secret very well.
SE'CRET, a. [L. secretus. This is given as the participle of secerno, but is radically a different word. The radical sense of seg is to separate, as in L. seco, to cut off; and not improbably this word is contracted into the Latin se, a prefix in segrego, separo, &c.]

For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
Beloved, this is a subject that many can get mystical about. I read daily, someone has a revelation, a dream, a special vision, and all I read are mostly self declarations of things that are not found in the bible, the lord does not work like that, the lord will never give a vision a secret , that is not back up by his Holy Word.
The lord wants to give a deeper revelation of Jesus Christ, O' More of the presence of Jesus, magnified, glorified, and truth, embodied in Him and not a man.
It takes pray to hear from the lord, it takes reading your bible, it takes waiting on the lord. I have never seen another way this works.
Be sure that when you do pray, the word says He-the Lord, will tell you MIGHTY THINGS YOU DO NOT KNOW.
The lord has, and will, reveal his heart, and direction for your life to you, it just takes time, sometimes it's a Prophetic blast- and it blows your mind, it is real and you know it.
