The Authority Of The Believer, The Biblical Way To Cast Out A Demon, In Jesus Name

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth - The “Son of God,” as “Creator,” had an original right to all things, to control them and dispose of them. See Joh_1:3; Col_1:16-17; Heb_1:8. But the universe is put under him more particularly as Mediator, that he might redeem his people; that he might gather a church; that he might defend his chosen; that he might subdue all their enemies, and bring them off conquerors and more than conquerors, Eph_1:20-23; 1Co_15:25-27; Joh_5:22-23; Phi_2:6-11. It is in reference to this, doubtless, that he speaks here power or authority committed to him over all things, that he might redeem, defend, and save the church purchased with his own blood. His mediatorial government extends, therefore, over the material world, over angels, over devils, over wicked men, and over his own people.

Eph 1:20  which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:21  far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Eph 1:22  and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

Eph 1:23  which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Col 1:16  for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;

Php 2:9  Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name;

Php 2:10  that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,

Php 2:11  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Deity of Christ is an essential doctrine, anyone who denies this is of their father the devil as 1 Jn. teaches and other portions. Jesus was fully man and fully God. Jesus has been given all authority and power to rule and reign as Barnes said, over the material world, (what we see) angles and demons ( the unseen world) and over wicked men)

For this, we can take great comfort because it teaches us; nothing can happen to us that our lord does give the Ok.

At the mane of Jesus every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, that He alone is indeed Lord of lords and king of kings. The true believer already knows this, and has made Jesus Lord of their life. We know the secrets of the inner kingdom, in Jesus name we cast out devils, lay hands on the sick, pray in our heavenly language. In Jesus name, we have been given authority. This doctrine called the authority of the believers has long been taught, and it is true, but many abuses and doctrines of men have been added to it, some say, we are supermen and women; many teach and practice Sayings like these.

1. I rebuke you Satan in the name of Jesus
2. I bind you devil, get out you fowl dog
3.You no good devil flee you evil devil
4. I take authority over you , I take dominion over you Satan in the name of Jesus.

If your are full gospel, you have done this, are doing it, or have. We learn the proper biblical way to use the authority of the name of Jesus, and it sounds nothing like what we have learned. In Jude; we read specifics on how to deal with the devil, it is very pointed and speaks against those who rebuke the devil in the four ways I mentioned. I admit, when I learned this years ago, it changed my life, as I , like many readers, have been taught to say the same things and rail on the devil.

 It is no where to be found in the bible, nowhere, it is Christ, Jesus name that the lord rebukes, never our name, when we say I rebuke you this is un-scriptural, and those in deliverance ministries talk more about the devil than Jesus, they invoke evil spirits, and I have been to such meetings, they are dark, evil, un-scriptural and outright evil. It is Jesus name, not ours, and we are never to act like we are anybody, other than humble servants of our lord. We are never to take our enemy for granite, he is mighty foe.

Let’s read what Jude teaches on the subject, no bible helps needed on this portion as it is very plain.

Jud 1:6  And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Jud 1:7  Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Jud 1:8  Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Jud 1:9  Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Jud 1:10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Jud 1:11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Jud 1:12  These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Jud 1:13  Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Jud 1:14  And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Jud 1:15  To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Jud 1:16  These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Jud 1:17  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Jud 1:18  How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Jud 1:19  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

This clearly teaches the danger of, not properly rebuking the devil, it is not a thing to take lightly, as verse 10 says.

Jud 1:10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

It corrupts us, those who practice as I mentioned are clouds without water, carried about of winds, meaning powerless and into every new wind of doctrine, they are spots, blemishes in your love feasts, Church , and ministry. They are called mockers, yes mockers, whom are they mocking? The devil, men, churches and Christ authority, making themselves and authority this is 100% un-scriptural. read this portion of the word over and over, let the spirit give you illumination, pray about it and you will see what I am writing is true, what is practiced is dangerous, foolish and demon hunting is against the word, the neo-charismatics are real big on this doctrine.

The proper wording is simple, the lord rebuke you, that’s it, we do not need to, or should we converse with evil spirits, invoke them, try and find out territorial demons to pray against and try to take down , its like ghost busters, some even call them selves demon busters, all I can say is this is something all must be learned in, understand and you must know, Jesus is the all authority, he is the king , we are nothing, simple, humble servants. It is another lesson on how so many things we have been taught and have practice is nowhere to be backed up in the bible.
